Understanding acute otitis media in children
Otitis media is a common childhood condition characterised by inflammation of the middle ear. Children typically present with otalgia, fever, irritability, hearing impairment and, in some cases, otorrhoea. Accurate assessment is essential, as symptoms may mimic other serious conditions.
