Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
Skin cancers occur in countries around the world and appear in various forms, each type presenting differently. Early diagnosis and treatment yield the best outcomes, with most types being curable if they are detected and treated promptly. This article outlines the different types of skin cancer, as well as risk factors, diagnosis and treatment, with a focus on the role of general practice nurses in recognition of suspicious lesions and the required course of action. It aims to improve nurses' confidence when seeing patients presenting with potential skin cancer.
