Dermatology is often treated as limited specialty content in undergraduate medicine. This Perspective argues that its visual, morphology-driven diagnostic process makes it a powerful framework for teaching clinical reasoning, including observation, structured description, diagnostic discrimination, uncertainty management, red-flag recognition and safe escalation.
