Abstract Nonmyeloablative-related haploidentical allogeneic stem cell transplantation (NMAC-HID allo-HSCT) has emerged as an additional treatment to achieve durable remission in sickle cell disease (SCD), a prevalent blood disorder characterized by painful vaso-occlusive crises and chronic anemia.
