White Spot Lesions Following Orthodontic Treatment: Contemporary Management
White spot lesions (WSLs) often develop after fixed orthodontic treatment. They appear as milky white spots on teeth due to enamel demineralization. These lesions are a common aesthetic concern, affecting 45.8% to 97% of orthodontic patients [1]. Today, dentistry focuses on non-invasive remineralization therapies to treat WSLs and prevent their progression.
