Microdontia is defined as a developmental dental anomaly characterized by teeth that are smaller than the normal size. Microdontia may affect a single tooth, a group of teeth, or, rarely, the entire dentition. It may also occur symmetrically, particularly involving the maxillary lateral incisors.
