Testungen sollten sich an Risiko, Symptomen und Zeitfenstern orientieren. Für asymptomatische Personen können sie sinnvoll sein, ersetzen aber keine ärztliche Abklärung bei Beschwerden. Eine Fokussierung auf klinisch relevante Erreger sowie korrekte Probenentnahme und Beratung sind entscheidend, um Überdiagnostik und Fehlinterpretationen zu vermeiden.
