Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
In this installment of the President’s Message, NEHA President Scott Holmes reflects on the importance of collaboration in environmental public health practice. Through the story of an ethylene glycol poisoning investigation at a community picnic, he illustrates how environmental health professionals work with epidemiologists, laboratory staff, healthcare providers, toxicologists, and community members to identify and address complex environmental exposures. The column also highlights the importance of recognizing the people behind the cases and data during public health investigations. Ultimately, President Holmes emphasizes that protecting communities often requires environmental health professionals to look beyond traditional partnerships and draw on the knowledge, expertise, and cooperation of a broader multidisciplinary team.
