European Health Evidence

The European alternative to PubMed

EUVIMED is the European alternative to PubMed: a central, multilingual research platform for medicine, nursing, life sciences and healthcare. It brings together international and European literature sources, study registries, open-access full texts, citations and retraction notices in one search. Unlike pure bibliographic databases, EUVIMED supports the entire research process – from discovery and appraisal with LIVIA and CLARA to traceable evidence synthesis. European in focus, transparent, interoperable and designed for science and healthcare.

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Optimize Phage Therapy: A Perspective.

Sonia Bhonchal Bhardwaj, Sanjay Chhibber

World Journal of Experimental Biosciences · 2026

Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Phage therapy has its origin around 100 years back as phages were used to treat various infections. However, improper storage, purification methods and treating bacterial infections not specific to the therapeutic phage led to its downfall in the west except in Eastern European countries where it is still being practiced. With the emergence of antimicrobial resistance, the phage therapy once again has attracted the attention of scientists as a promising strategy.
