Cyberbullying is a digital social problem that can negatively affect students’ mental health, including anxiety, emotional distress, low self-confidence, and disruption of learning activities. This study aimed to describe the role of school counselors in addressing the mental health of students who experience cyberbullying and to identify the challenges encountered in the intervention process at SMP Negeri 29 Semarang. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through the Student Needs Assessment Questionnaire (AKPD), interviews, observations, and documentation involving school counselors, a homeroom teacher, and students who experienced cyberbullying . Data were analyzed through data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data credibility established through triangulation. The findings indicate that school counselors play a role through needs assessment, preventive services, individual counseling, emotional support, digital education, and ongoing monitoring of students’ recovery. The challenges included difficulties in identifying perpetrators, limited student disclosure, high service demands, and limited parental support. These findings imply the need to strengthen school counseling services and enhance collaboration between schools and families in addressing cyberbullying sustainably.
