Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
The intricate link between obesity and diabetes has garnered significant attention, as both conditions are prevalent in modern society and pose considerable public health challenges. A growing body of research suggests that these diseases are closely intertwined, with obesity serving as a major risk factor for the development of type 2 diabetes. Recent advancements in nanotechnology offer promising solutions for tackling the obesity–diabetes crosstalk by enabling precise targeting of underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. This review explores the latest nano-enabled therapeutic strategies aimed at disrupting the interplay between obesity and diabetes, with a focus on innovations in drug delivery, biomolecular modulation, and tissue engineering. Furthermore, the potential of nanomaterials to improve therapeutic efficacy, enhance bioavailability, and reduce side effects will be discussed. The review also highlights clinical prospects and challenges in translating these promising nano-enabled approaches from the laboratory to real-world applications. Given the complexity of both conditions, it is crucial to adopt a multidisciplinary approach that combines nanotechnology with existing therapies to improve patient outcomes. Ultimately, the integration of nanomedicine into clinical practice holds the potential to revolutionize the management of obesity-related diabetes and prevent further escalation of the global diabetes epidemic. Keywords: Nanomedicine, Obesity, Diabetes, Drug Delivery, Therapeutic Innovation.
