European Health Evidence

The European alternative to PubMed

EUVIMED is the European alternative to PubMed: a central, multilingual research platform for medicine, nursing, life sciences and healthcare. It brings together international and European literature sources, study registries, open-access full texts, citations and retraction notices in one search. Unlike pure bibliographic databases, EUVIMED supports the entire research process – from discovery and appraisal with LIVIA and CLARA to traceable evidence synthesis. European in focus, transparent, interoperable and designed for science and healthcare.

Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into higher education has transformed learning. The objective of this study was to analyze the influence of AI use on the academic performance of students in the Descriptive Statistics course at UPEC. A quantitative and correlational approach was employed, using a survey administered to 155 students. To validate the study’s structure, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used. The results of the EFA and CFA confirmed a two-dimensional structure comprising “Use and Academic Perception of AI” and “Perceived Competence in Its Use.” The findings suggest that the integration of AI tools contributes positively to the learning process of statistical content. It is concluded that AI is a valuable educational resource that enhances academic performance, provided that its use is guided by principles of equity, transparency, and accountability to support evidence-based pedagogical decisions.
