Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
The job performance of healthcare workers is a key indicator of an organization’s success, particularly in hospitals. High work demands and psychological stress can affect the behavior and performance of healthcare workers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between psychological empowerment and occupational stress, with cyberloafing as a mediating variable, on the job performance of healthcare workers. This study employs a quantitative approach using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with a sample size of 198 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that occupational stress has a positive effect on cyberloafing. Furthermore, cyberloafing has a negative effect on job performance. Interestingly, occupational stress was found to have no negative effect on job performance. Furthermore, psychological empowerment also showed no positive effect on job performance, indicating that the empowerment felt by medical staff has not yet been able to effectively improve performance. The results also showed that cyberloafing does not mediate the relationship between occupational stress and job performance. These findings reinforce the need for hospital management to emphasize empowerment among medical staff in order to achieve optimal performance.
