Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
This study evaluates different first aid training alternatives using the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) to determine the most effective option for acquiring first aid knowledge and skills. The research analyzes five alternatives: Basic First Aid Training Kit, Online First Aid Course, Community First Aid Workshop, Certified Training Program, and First Aid App with Tutorials. These options were assessed across four key parameters: Comprehensiveness (C), Accessibility (A), Practical Training (P), and Complexity (Cx), with equal weights of 0.25 assigned to each criterion. The methodology involved normalizing the dataset and calculating weighted scores to rank the alternatives based on their overall performance. The analysis revealed that the First Aid App with Tutorials achieved the highest preference score (0.87500), ranking first due to its exceptional performance in Accessibility, Practical Training, and Complexity, despite lower scores in Comprehensiveness. The Basic First Aid Training Kit ranked second (0.70417), followed by the Online First Aid Course (0.67500), Community First Aid Workshop (0.56875), and Certified Training Program (0.55476). The results demonstrate that while traditional methods like Certified Training Programs offer high comprehensiveness, modern digital solutions like First Aid Apps provide a more balanced approach with better accessibility and user engagement. The study highlights the trade-offs between different training methods, showing that each option has distinct advantages and limitations. The findings suggest that the selection of first aid training methods should consider the specific needs and constraints of users, with digital solutions offering a promising avenue for widespread first aid education. This research contributes to understanding the effectiveness of various first aid training methods and provides a structured framework for evaluating training alternatives. The findings can guide stakeholders in selecting appropriate first aid training options based on their specific requirements and circumstances.
