Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) confronts persistent logistics fragmentation, with intra-African trade accounting for merely 12% of total commerce. This study examines collaborative digital logistics platforms (CDLPs) as instruments for overcoming these barriers. Drawing on a mixed-methods design, this study combines a systematic literature review of 127 articles, qualitative case analysis of four African platforms, and a quantitative survey of 184 logistics professionals across 12 countries. Findings indicate that platform success depends on hybrid governance configurations blending algorithmic coordination with institutionalized trust. Key performance factors include system interoperability (b = 0.42, p < .001), and collaborative partner network size (b = 0.31, p < .01). This study advances an integrated governance model for platform-mediated logistics ecosystems in emerging economies.
