Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Over the past 30 years, more than 5 million patients worldwide with various dentofacial anomalies have undergone orthodontic treatment using clear aligner therapy. The indications for aligner treatment continue to expand, and their clinical use has steadily increased. Owing to continuous advances in biomaterials, the materials used for aligner fabrication have evolved from conventional polymers to more flexible and highly transparent thermoplastic materials. The rapid development of three-dimensional digital technologies has also created new opportunities for the design and manufacturing of aligners. With further technological advancements and the development of novel materials, aligners are expected to achieve additional improvements in treatment efficiency, patient comfort, and manufacturing cost.
