Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
This study addresses the level of pedagogical preparation of teachers in relation to Special Educational Needs (SEN). Its main objective is to explore possible differences between public and private school teachers (Adventist and non-Adventist) in terms of their levels of pedagogical knowledge and appropriate interventions for different SENs. The methodology employed was quantitative, with a non-experimental design. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data on teacher training in SEN and its application in the classroom. The sample consisted of 66 teachers from various educational institutions, allowing for comparisons of their preparation in this area. The results revealed that public school teachers have a higher level of training in pedagogical and teaching knowledge about SEN compared to private school teachers. The differences in training and teaching skills related to SEN between these groups could be related to greater access to training programmes and a stronger institutional focus on inclusive education in public schools compared to private schools. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of implementing educational policies that promote SEN training for all teachers, regardless of the type of institution.
