Axiogeniality and Herzl’s Neurosis Capitalist Discourse and Transvalorative Psychology

Building on Freud’s analogy between paranoid delusions and philosophical systems (Systembildungen), this article establishes a clinical-genealogical framework to analyze contemporary value production and subjective formation. Drawing on Nietzsche’s drive-dynamic psychology, recent cognitive-evolutionary readings of his Trieb theory, and Lacan’s formalization of the Capitalist Discourse, it is argued that this discourse can be productively analyzed as functioning as an axiologically closed, secular religion. By anchoring systemic demands into internal psychological structures, this regime converts surplus-alienation (plus-de-jouir) into existential guilt, normalizes self-exploitation, and subjects speech and listening to performance-driven, market-rationalized imperatives. To characterize this structural malaise, the clinical category of Herzl’s Neurosis is introduced: a historical, non-idiographic modality of neurosis defined by the foreclosure of Agential Integrity,operationalized here as a fractionated disruption between drive economics (Triebökonomie), affectivity, semantic meaning, and self-determined action. As a clinical-critical counterpoint, this paper outlines Transvaluative Psychology as a diagnostic matrix for evaluating the subjective costs of dominant value systems, positioning Axiogeniality as an active organismic operator capable of subverting pathogenous axiological hierarchies, reorganizing meaning, and restoring the symbolic bond.
