THE SINGULAR THERAPEUTIC PROJECT AND CARE MANAGEMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN RONDÔNIA: IS THE PATIENT AT THE CENTER OF CARE?

The consolidation of the Care Network for People with Disabilities within the Brazilian Unified Health System has been accompanied by the expansion of approaches grounded in the biopsychosocial model and person-centered care. In this context, the training of health managers and professionals may contribute to incorporating these principles into everyday service delivery. This article presents an experience report on a multiprofessional training initiative aimed at implementing the Singular Therapeutic Project, promoted by the State Institute of Public Health Education of Rondônia. The activity comprises 20 hours distributed over two days and is organized through joint planning with Municipal Health Departments. The content includes the biopsychosocial model, the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, the genogram, the ecomap, and the shared development of the Singular Therapeutic Project. The experience is discussed in light of the territorial and healthcare specificities of the Western Amazon. The activities carried out highlighted possibilities for using the Singular Therapeutic Project as a tool for organizing care and fostered spaces for reflection on collaborative practices, functioning, social participation, and the articulation of support networks. The experience also points to perspectives for using these tools to improve healthcare records and to support the future development of indicators related to functioning.
