Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

The study addressed Artificial Intelligence (AI), blended learning, and Distance Education, emphasizing the possibilities and limitations of automated content generation applied to online learning. The research was guided by the following question: what were the possibilities and limitations of automated content generation through Artificial Intelligence in the context of online learning and Distance Education? The general objective was to analyze the possibilities and limitations of automated content generation through Artificial Intelligence in this context, considering its contributions to study and research, as well as challenges related to authorship, information reliability, and academic integrity. Methodologically, a qualitative bibliographic study was conducted based on academic publications related to Artificial Intelligence, digital technologies, and Distance Education. The development analyzed the characteristics of generative AI and its ability to produce texts, images, audio, videos, and code, as well as its applications in supporting study, research, and academic production. The risks of errors and fabricated information, the need to verify sources, and issues related to academic integrity were also discussed. It was concluded that AI offered relevant possibilities for diversifying content, supporting learning, and assisting academic organization; however, limitations concerning information reliability and the preservation of authorship were identified. Therefore, its educational use required clear criteria, transparency, information verification, and active student participation.
