Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
This study investigates the role of technology in supporting inclusive education for students with special needs in lower secondary schools in Kosovo. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through interviews with 26 students (15 from regular classes and 9 with special needs) and 9 parents. The findings show that technology enhances motivation, independent learning, collaboration, and active participation. Students reported frequently using tablets, computers, interactive applications, and multimedia resources, which enabled them to learn at their own pace and demonstrate their understanding more effectively. Students with special educational needs particularly emphasized the importance of simple, accessible, and visually supportive tools in building confidence and improving comprehension. However, challenges such as limited access to devices, technical difficulties, and insufficient teacher support were noted. Parents confirmed the benefits of technology but stressed the need for guidance and equal access. The study concludes that technology can strengthen inclusive education, provided that adequate resources and teacher training are ensured.
