Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
The article presents the study of the genre of a distance learning class, the relevance of the study of which is conditioned by the need to research the genres of a new discourse type of modern educational space – the discourse of distance education. The authors define a distance learning session as a communicative educational event unfolding in the virtual space of the Internet, which largely predetermines its media, pragmatic, compositional and structural parameters. The aim of the study is to describe the genre-forming features of a foreign language distance class, namely the communicative purpose, the author’s image, the addressee’s image, the images of the past and future, the dictum (event) content and the linguistic embodiment of the analyzed speech genre. The research material was obtained from synchronous and asynchronous online English classes conducted between February and October 2024, the recordings of which were transcribed by the Speech2text software. The authors of the study found out that the addresser and the addressee of the distance learning genre are the digital teacher and the digital student, whose mutual desire to teach and learn leads to the formation of the images of the past and future of the virtual learning event, the organization of the dictum content and linguistic structure of the genre of the distance learning class and the realization of the communicative purpose of distance education.
