Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Technological gas releases through safety relief valves (SRV) of gas distribution networks remain one of the least studied sources of natural gas losses: standard dispatch-control instrumentation registers only the fact and duration of valve actuation without determining the released gas volume (estimated at up to 20 million m/year for the Moscow Region alone). The aim of this work is to develop a methodology for the quantitative assessment and reduction of cumulative technological gas losses from the already recorded pressure and temperature, without installing additional flow meters, and to introduce an objective operational response criterion. A previously developed hybrid model of the instantaneous flow rate is used as the computational core; integrating it over the SRV sensor activation time yields expressions for the cumulative loss volume over a reporting period. An operational response coefficient is introduced, combining the mean flow rate, duration and frequency of SRV actuations and the admissible release volume; the criterion algorithmically separates regular compensating releases from permanent leaks, shortens the time to detect abnormal regimes, and enables targeted optimization of the operating regimes – adjusting the pressure differential between the SRV and the regulator, which directly reduces the volume of lost gas. The method was validated on a retrospective sample of JSC «Mosgaz» facilities for Q4 2025: the computed release volumes are automatically ranked and visualized (histograms, heat maps), turning the reduction of this loss component into a manageable process without installing additional measuring equipment.
