Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

This qualitative meta-synthesis systematically reviewed studies on post-traumatic growth (PTG) in people with cancer. A comprehensive search of nine databases was conducted up to February 2025. Following PRISMA guidelines, the methodological quality of included studies was assessed using the JBI checklist, and data were analyzed via thematic synthesis. Fifteen studies, all rated as Level B (moderate quality), were included, generating three core themes: the psychological journey of PTG, its facilitators and barriers, and associated coping strategies. This synthesis provides an integrative understanding of PTG processes in individuals with cancer. The findings may inform stage-appropriate considerations for healthcare professionals aiming to support psychosocial adaptation and enhance overall well-being throughout the cancer trajectory.
