Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
Abstract The research project Preparing for sea level rise (2020–2025) sought to be a platform for debating issues that integrate the various legal aspects of sea level rise. It aimed to expose researchers based in Portugal to debates that were being pursued internationally. At the same time, it allowed Portuguese researchers to participate actively in discussions that were being held within the International Law Association. The results of the research project Preparing for sea level rise can be summarized as follows: i) three workshops; ii) six international conferences; iii) two lectures at the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon; iv) creation of three databases; v) publication of four books; vi) collaboration with three Portuguese Institute for the Law of the Sea summer schools; lecture at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law; and launch of the research project “Adapting coastal regulations to climate change: a legal comparative study between Goa, India and Portugal”. Within its scope, two doctoral theses were supervised, one of which specifically addressed the effects of sea level rise on maritime boundary delimitations.
