Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
ABSTRACT Global economic volatility and the legacies of austerity have made it increasingly difficult for successive UK governments to deliver the outcomes that voters demand. The Starmer administration ultimately failed to reconcile its ambitious agenda for change with the restrictive fiscal promises of its manifesto. Burnham faces similar challenges to those that overwhelmed other Prime Ministers in the recent past: but there are options available, if the new government is willing to pursue a fiscal reset.
