This study aims to explore the impact of a multidisciplinary dynamic nursing strategy constructed based on the concept of predictive nursing on the incidence, severity, healing status and nursing quality of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD) in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients and provide a scientific basis for the clinical prevention and control of IAD. A retrospective cohort study design was adopted, selecting 300 patients admitted to the ICU of a tertiary Grade A hospital between January 2023 and December 2024. Based on the time point when the hospital implemented the "Multidisciplinary Dynamic Nursing Strategy Based on Predictive Nursing" starting January 2024, patients were divided into a control group (n = 132, receiving routine care before implementation) and an intervention group (n = 168, receiving multidisciplinary dynamic care after implementation). The control group followed the routine IAD prevention protocol; the intervention group additionally implemented predictive risk assessment, multidisciplinary collaborative intervention, informational nursing support, and quality monitoring. The incidence, severity, healing status of IAD, ICU length of stay, nursing compliance, and quality indicators were compared between the 2 groups. There was no statistically significant difference in the general data between the 2 groups (P > .05), indicating comparability. The incidence of IAD in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (14.3% vs 28.8%, χ2 = 8.45, P = .004); the severity of IAD was milder in the intervention group (Mild: 75.0% vs 57.9%, P = .022). The complete healing rate of IAD was significantly higher in the intervention group (91.7% vs 65.8%, P = .016), the healing time was significantly shorter (7.2 ± 2.9 days vs 9.7 ± 3.6 days, P < .001), and the ICU length of stay was shorter (13.1 ± 4.9 days vs 15.4 ± 5.8 days, P = .043). Nursing compliance and quality indicators in the intervention group were superior to those in the control group, including daily risk assessment compliance rate, timely warning response rate, nursing record completeness rate, and operational consistency (all P < .01). The multidisciplinary dynamic nursing strategy based on the concept of predictive nursing can effectively reduce the incidence and severity of IAD in ICU patients, promote skin healing, shorten the length of stay, and significantly improve nursing compliance and quality.
