Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Abstract Childhood dementia (CD) is a complex, rare, often under-recognised, and incurable neurogenetic group of disorders with neuromotor-behavioural symptoms and poor survival outcomes. Despite profound impacts, CD remains neglected and underfunded compared to other paediatric diseases. Psychosocial and rehabilitation interventions, widely recognised as valuable in adult dementia, are underexplored in CD. Integrating these supports into policy, expanding research investment and formally recognising CD are critical to delivering equitable, compassionate, evidence-informed care for individuals and their families.
